Technical Consultants implement total systems solutions to the technical needs of customers. These solutions deal with the major business processes used to manage the overall enterprise. The task requires integrating hardware, processes, methodologies, software, and the customer. Dell Technical Consultants may participate with the customer in the strategic design process and translate business needs into technical systems solutions. They are responsible for the deployment of technical correctness and completeness of integrated systems designs. In addition, they may assist the sales organization and related Practice Areas as technical/industry subject matter experts. This role predominantly handles customized and non-standard ( non-SKU'ed) offerings.
Using business process engineering techniques, implements technical solutions and management processes to achieve overall objectives by means of implementing systems or enterprise-wide solutions, using the company's or a third-party's hardware/software products and/or processes and methodologies.
· Integrates solutions and strategies within the customer environment, based on the analysis of customer business goals, objectives, needs, and existing systems infrastructure.
· Identifies additional product/services sales opportunities in customer organization.
· Leads overall technical implementation for large and complex engagements.
· Provides expertise on the availability and viability of third party components and services.
· Ensures third party components comply with established architecture.
· Implements the information technology architecture and the total systems solutions to the enterprise-wide systems problems of the customer.
· Mentors less experienced systems consultants.
