Exane is active in three core businesses:

- Equity Derivatives, which involves the origination, distribution and arbitrage of structured products and listed derivatives.
- Asset Management, which specialises in long / short alternative equity funds.

Under the Exane BNP Paribas brand name, Exane was granted exclusivity on secondary equity brokerage and the distribution of primary market activities. Exane provides institutional clients with Research, Distribution and Execution on European Equities. This unique model gives us the means to pursue ambitious market share goals and maintains our independence. Research is the cornerstone of Exane BNP Paribas’ business model. Our goal is to establish a high-quality franchise on a sector-per-sector basis; to do so we have adopted the unique approach of maintaining investment throughout the cycle. Our 85-analyst team based in Paris, London, Brussels, Madrid and Milan covers more than 530 companies across Europe (over 75% of which are non French); UK Companies represent the bulk of our coverage universe. Exane BNP Paribas serves about 1,200 clients worldwide and has established a strong position on European Equities (N°6 Pan European Equity Sector Research in the 2010 Extel Survey).
Our analysts, based in Paris, London, Milan, Brussels and Madrid, produce original and independent research based on in-depth knowledge of sector and company fundamentals. A key factor of our value added is our capacity to present timely and varied investment ideas.
As a member of the Equity Research Department you will report directly to an experienced financial analyst.
Your responsibilities will include, but not be confined to:
- researching and summarising general and financial information,
- updating the analysts’ financial models
This internship will allow you to carry out operational tasks, enhance your skills in financial analysis and benefit from the expertise of Exane.

- You are a graduate of a top-ranking business or engineering school specialised in Finance
- You are seeking a 6-month internship before your graduation (From January 2011 - July 2011)
- You have solid working knowledge of accounting and financial techniques and valuation models
- You are very comfortable working in Excel
- You are perfectly fluent in English
