The Network Yield Management team sits at the intersection of Sales, Finance, Consumer and Ad Product business units to improve yield and drive revenue growth on behalf of the Yahoo! Europe Display and Search advertising business.
Role Overview: This role will focus on analytic support for our Direct Response advertising product, a performance-optimized network offer. This person will be tasked generally with effectively balancing supply with demand to grow revenue and manage margin on this growing ad network offer. The role will involve managing detailed data models, highlighting findings in terms of optimal supply utilization and media buying needs, and communicating with stakeholders so that these can be implemented. This person will also inform optimal 3rd-party media and data procurement costs in light of the value driven by each constituent to the Yahoo! Network.
Responsibilities: - Develop quantitative analyses, custom models and ad hoc reports for supply management and decision-making - Run ongoing analysis of inventory/segment data mix & delivery fluctuation - Implement regular inventory reporting and deep dives in publisher dynamics - Develop allocation models for cross-functional teams - Manage near-term yield optimization exercises - Monitor systems accuracy and develop tracking improvements - Develop presentation materials to support recommendations and communicate results - Help develop presentation materials and recommendations for quarterly/annual planning and senior management discussions - Work with the Network Yield Management team to identify new opportunities, capabilities, and processes that will grow long-term value for Yahoo! |

- Bachelors degree with a focus on business, economics, engineering, computer science, math, or related quantitative discipline - Experience in inventory/yield management, business consulting, economics, or other highly quantitative fields - Experience with online media and auction-based marketplaces a plus but not required - Self-starter with the desire to work in a challenging, fast-paced, and unstructured environment - Ability to distill and communicate results of complex analyses clearly and effectively - Solid understanding of business practices and effective business process - Strong proficiency in Excel is a critical requirement - Knowledge of SQL/SPSS and other data application systems is desirable - Proficiency with Powerpoint desired High degree of professionalism, integrity, and a collaborative team player |
