Launcher Environment and Payloads Engineer
The main responsibilities of the Environment and Structures Department include payload qualification for the operating environments of the Ariane/Soyuz/Vega launchers, including mechanical, acoustic, thermal, radio-electric, contamination and other aspects, as well as overseeing production of equipment for the upper composite of launchers in this family, covering technical, program and contractual aspects. Furthermore, the department validates the launcher-payload mechanical and electrical interfaces by carrying out fit-checks at the satellite manufacturers, and coordinates additional launcher upper composite developments. It also provides technical support and evaluations on behalf of the Sales and Marketing Division and other departments in the Program Directorate, concerning structures, launcher environments and systems.

Reporting to the Department Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
• For satellite projects under your responsibility, drawing up the qualification files for the satellites, concerning static, dynamic, low-frequency, acoustic, thermal, shock, electromagnetism, contamination and other aspects, as well as monitoring the corresponding satellite environment tests.
• Coordinate the coupled dynamic analyses and thermal studies performed within the scope of production analyses (preliminary and final feasibility) for the Arianespace family of launchers.
• Carry out Level 0 and Level 1 flight data analyses for launcher environments and payloads, as well as handling the launcher environment aspects of flight anomalies.
• Work with the Sales & Marketing division to provide technical support for customers and satellite manufacturers, concerning launcher-payload compatibility aspects.
• On request from the Department Manager, if applicable:
- Coordinate and carry out tests to check the compatibility of the mechanical and electrical interfaces between the payload and launcher.
- Act as Upper Composite Technical Authority during launch campaigns for the combined launcher-payload operational phases.

• You will have a degree from an engineering school or university (French or European),
with proven expertise in structural mechanics, especially concerning dynamic aspects (low frequency, acoustics, shock, etc.) in design, modeling, sizing, testing and qualification.
• Experience with thermal and radio-electric environments would be an advantage.
• You must have good knowledge of space programs in general and of Ariane, Soyuz or Vega in particular.
• Ability to work in a team, to work without supervision, to propose solutions and meet deadlines.
• You must have very good working knowledge of both French and English. Some knowledge of Russian would be an advantage.

Location: Evry (suburb of Paris), with frequent travel in France and abroad, as well as to French Guiana for launch campaigns.
