The T&D Monitoring and Diagnostics (M&D) Black Belt will drive cycle time and lead quality improvement projects in our M&D products and support T&D’s Six Sigma needs in Europe. Main responsibilities include integrating and developing processes to meet business needs across the organization, managing complex issues within functional area of expertise, assisting with long-term planning and contributing to the overall business strategy. The successful candidate will be a change agent in this gr Essential Responsibilities · Lead the M&D teams to improve cycle times and drive quality improvement projects at the Lisburn plant and throughout Europe. · Assist in defining CTQs, track Gage R&R and detail the defect resolution process. · Lead Lean Six Sigma initiatives for Transmission & Distribution’s M&D Engineering and Quality teams, including leading process changes, mentoring Green Belts, facilitating breakthrough improvements in key processes, and communicating to/influencing individuals at all levels of the organization. · Interface with the M&D customers to identify customer satisfaction projects and quality initiatives. · Work with process owners to identify, prioritize and drive process improvements that contribute to system data and product quality and minimize cost of quality. · Report results and issues to appropriate audiences including key business leaders and process team members. · Champion and use DMAIC, DFSS, CAP, Lean, Action Work-outs and other tools and methodologies to identify process gaps and lead change. · Develop a training strategy for engineering Green Belts across the business. · Facilitate Best Practice Sessions, Work Outs, and Benchmarking. · Obtain Black Belt certification though appropriate training, testing, mentoring and project execution. |

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college · Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment. · Green Belt certified (GE Employees only). · Demonstrated ability to drive highly visible initiatives within the business. · Experience resolving process issues across functional lines. · Energetic, strong communicator, capable of driving consensus. · Working knowledge of Lean and understanding of its application towards engineering. · Self-starter with ability to execute with limited supervision. · Ability to travel up to 25%.
