The Plant HR Manager will manage and deliver HR services to the Baupte location. He / She will actively participate with the local management team to provide local leadership for the site. The incumbent must have the ability to participate in the development of programs and processes, successfully implement and evaluate results to ensure the desired outcome. The Plant HR Manager will liaise closely with the local management team, the BU HR management team (multi-Business Unit (BU)) and the HR shared services group.
Principle accountabilities
Recruitment: Work with site management to attract and retain qualified and talented employees to the site. Coordinate recruitment process with HR shared services group where necessary. Labor Relations: Manage the relationship with social partners: meet with local Works Council (CE), Employee Representatives (DP), Health & Safety committee (CHSCT) etc. Ensure legal compliance and provide information updates on laws and regulations affecting Human Resources. This will involve taking direction from and coordination with the HR Country Manager and relevant Business Units. Employee Data Management and Reporting Ensure accurate employee data is maintained for the site. Update BU HR management and location management through producing, maintaining and distributing HR information on a regular basis (e.g., performance management, absences, training & development) Administration, management and reporting on regulations related to working time for the site Compensation: Participate in the development of compensation strategies and practices. Manage the implementation of practices at the site, including employee communication, incentive programs, salary negotiation and the annual salary review process. Contract Management: Manage employee contracts including drafting, compliance, reporting and terminations. People Management: manage a team of 4 HR professionals, organize and delegate tasks, motivate team and manage performance. Communication: together with site manager's assistant in charge of communication at the site (local journal, memos etc.) General services: telephone operator, stationary, minor purchases, follow up with medical staff Performance Management: Administer the Performance Management (PM) process for the location through coaching, training and providing tools/resources to managers and leadership. Employee Engagement: Ensure efficient administration of the employee engagement survey tool. Work with location management to ensure effective follow up and implementation of action planning to improve employee engagement. Learning & Development: Lead process for training and development planning at the site. Assist, advise and coach local management on learning and development solutions. Work with Learning & Development resources from shared services center to deliver learning solutions for the site. Reporting and administration of statutory training and related activities (e.g. submission of annual training budget). Talent Management: Forecast people requirements to support the site's objectives. Includes leadership development, succession planning, hiring and retention strategies, career planning and long and short-term staffing plans. Effectively manage relationship between the site and the Shared Service Center in France to ensure HR services are delivered professionally and cost effectively |

Higher education, degree in HR or related discipline (e.g. France: DESS Gestion des Ressources Humaines). 7 or more years of "hands on" generalist experience in HR HR practice in an industrial environment Strong working knowledge of French labor laws and regulations
French mother tongue or perfectly spoken based upon experience Fluent written and spoken English Ability to effectively communicate to influence and persuade employees and managers at various levels of the organization Global mindset Able to deal with the bigger picture without losing attention to detail Strong business and customer service orientation Experience effectively coaching leaders Strong negotiation skills Demonstrated track record in taking initiative, working independently and handling multiple priorities simultaneously Ability to deliver on time on projects and services Team orientation, collaborative working style Computer proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
