As a crucial part of SAP's total solution delivery strategy, SAP Field Services focuses on the overall success of customers' SAP solutions. One essential element in SAP's continued success is the services portfolio offered by SAP Consulting and its certified partners, whereby consulting, implementation, and optimization services are delivered throughout the entire solution life cycle. The (Senior) Program Manager (f/m), is a senior leader and focuses on executing program management, which requires the combination of deep subject matter and industry expertise (e.g. Automotive, Telecom, Retail etc.) in project and program management, The ideal candidate will have had recent customer-facing experience, as well as exposure to compliance, internal audit, strategy development, and supporting the license and consulting Opportunity Management Process.
- Effectively manage and lead programs to ensure successful completion, work with Field Stakeholders and Senior FS Management.
- Generates concepts, develops business cases, solicits regional and local requirements, and is part of regional strategic initiatives that deliver improvements in the organization's professional capability to manage portfolios, programs, and projects.
- Develop a solid program plan with milestones and deliverables and furthermore, execute on the plan quickly handling any issues and objections. Translate generalized business goals and objectives into concrete program strategy and tactical plans.
- Support EMEA FS strategy and Delivery Operations and has the ability to develop a strong virtual network throughout EMEA.
- Support Program Management Practice professional development, methodology development, creation of intellectual capital, performance and compensation management, and perform coaching and mentoring.
- Ensures effective development and deployment of project management policies, procedures, quality standards, and methodologies.
Oversee and promote enterprise knowledge management.
- Build credibility / trust with assigned regional customers (internal) during the Deal Execution phase. Support development of long term value realization plans by understanding portfolio of projects, in collaboration with assigned regional teams. |

- Master's degree, preferably in finance, commerce, engineering, information technologies or MBA or equivalent training and job experience
- Work closely with the Program Sponsors to facilitate decisions necessary for program delivery.
- PMP or PgMP certification and /or other industry and project management certifications
- Expert level knowledge of all SAP methodologies including PMM, ASAP, Global ASAP, etc.
- Global cultural awareness and respect. Preferred to have hands-on management experience in a multi-national environment
- Organizational savvy: appropriately aggressive, yet cool and respectful, professional presence
- Results driven: confident, thrives on hard work and consistent challenge, and is quick on his/her feet. She/he will be an active partner with other SAP colleagues in formulating opportunity and delivery strategies
- Team oriented: building strong relationships at every level of the organization and is a strong motivator who knows how to influence and to get others to do consistently their best work
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills - Business English
- Proven program management experience and demonstrated ability to manage large, complex programs (such as global rollouts, managing large number of subcontractors, managing a program for a prime contractor, over 5000 man days, over 5 Mil EUR, high risk) on time, on budget, and within quality criteria
- Scoping and structuring complex programs, projects and operations to maximize benefits for our customers
- Experience with Recovery of troubled projects/programs and de-escalation across the EMEA Region
- Experience in managing and working together with different parts of the organization (AGS, AQM, BTS, CDP, etc.) |
