PayPal Europe is looking for an innovative, energetic and highly motivated candidate to identify and develop new opportunities enabled by the PayPal open platform. The Innovation Business Development Manager is responsible for creating new revenues with business and technology partners within PayPal Europe around PayPal open platform tools. The Innovation Business Development Manager will reach his objective by understanding perfectly PayPal model and partners’ technologies and business model.
Candidates should be looking to work in a fast paced and challenging team environment where the ability to work/interface with all areas of the business is essential. Role will interact with Business Development, Product and Marketing Teams in Europe. The Innovation Business Development Manager will report to the Head of BD Team and will be in charge of PayPal SENE Markets (Europe except UK and Germany)
Identify new revenue opportunities with innovative applications generating more transactions or new accounts. Exemples :
- P2P
- CtoC
- Social networks
- PayPal accounts opening
- IP TV
Structure Product Offering and BD approach with targeted partners.
Lead relationship with identified partners to build the new profitable and efficient applications.
· Build, negotiate and close deals
· Monitor and coordinate the technical projects
· Coordinate Marketing and PR levers
Set up high standard applications quality internally and externally |

· 5 to 10 years of experience with a track record in business development/consulting around new technologies.
· Entrepreneurial spirit.
· Ability to work & lead cross-functionally: product management, legal, risk teams, support & operations…
· Ability to understand customer’s long term needs and business issues for PayPal, merchants and consumers.
· Ability to manage stressful situations whilst juggling with multiple challenges: creative & problem solver;
· Strong negotiating & modeling skills
· Very Strong Technological Culture
· Passionate about the internet and the e-commerce; internet experience is a +. Understands PayPal’s value proposition
· Payment industry experience is a +
· Ideally a double background business/engineer school
· Strong interpersonal & communication skills,
· A great sense of humor & fun to work with
· Fluent in French and English. |
