Large Merchants Sales Manager - Madrid
Great opportunity for an outstanding individual to join PayPal, the global online payments division of e-commerce leader eBay, in a dynamic and fast paced growth environment. The individual will become part of the PayPal Spain team team charged with securing PayPal acceptance across a broad range eCommerce merchants, with special focus on Airlines and travel merchants across Europe.

The successful candidate will be highly effective in navigating all facets of the strategic B2B sales process from prospect prioritization through to technical integration and will have demonstrated ability of delivering a value based sales proposition to board level decision makers. He/she will be part of a Madrid headquartered sales team and working in conjunction with a Dublin based Operations team. The focus will be primarily Airline and travel prospect merchants across Europe, with special focus on the Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch and Polish markets.

Specific responsibilities include:
· Selling PayPal’s payment processing services to a defined list of large, branded eCommerce Merchants in a non-eBay, non-auction environment
· Prioritising and organising sales calls for maximum revenue impact
· Managing client relationships from the early stages of the sales process through to post-sales setup and integration
· Driving execution through both internal and external stakeholders to deliver optimal revenue, speed-to-market and service levels
· Partnering with internal counterparts in finance, legal, marketing, product and technical integration teams throughout the sales process
· Timely production of clear call and ongoing status reports plus forecasts to update sales management and internal counterparts on account activity
· Coordination with PayPal Spain Country Manager to refine sales strategy and execution plans

- Prior success selling into large, complex customer environments with multiple decision makers at many levels.
- Ability to provide innovative solutions to established problems for prospects familiar with the offering.
- An attitude that the utilises support and guidance offered by the broader PayPal team.
- Knowledge of online payment processing, merchant acquiring and the online merchant or "e-Tail" space is preferred but not essential
- A good understanding of how payments strategically impact a company's online business model.
