Direct all aspects of legal oversight for the country, ensuring the provision of legal in-sight and documentation relevant to business development, market access, intellectual property, litigation, corporate compliance, tax and insurance compliance, and all country contracting.
Help the business achieve its objectives by elaborating and implementing legal concepts frameworks and solutions for its transac-tion and issues, provide strategic legal insight to leaders.
• Provide legal guidance; ensure that country managers are kept abreast of relevant legal developments by coordinating the provision of legal counsel across the country on issues related to business development, employee relations, intellectual property, litigation, corporate and governance compliance, tax and insurance compliance, contracting, etc. Keep them informed about company policies and procedure when appropriate
• Drive contract preparation, negotiation, and defense, including archival of all con-tractual documentation
• Support management to insure all activities and transactions are performed in compliance with law, limit litigation risk
• Defend NCH’s rights against unjustified claims
• Ensure corporate compliance, including adherence to relevant tax, governance, and insurance regulations
• Support the business through identification of opportunities founded on the coun-try’s legal framework
• Supervise legal department budget
• Counsel on employment issues |
