The role is for a position within the Value Engineering Department. It’s an exciting, strategic role that combines the competencies of strategy consulting, deal structuring, and project management. We help translate corporate strategy into IT strategy. Value Engineering (VE) Principals work with C-level executives at marquee blue-chip corporations to define long-term business and technology strategy, create iron-clad business cases, and build strategic road maps. Internally, you will lead and manage cross-functional project teams on high-profile VE engagements, develop thought leadership for SAP, and network with a global VE organization. These are clear advantages against our competitors in the global software market.
Assemble a virtual account team and deliver value cases per account, including elements of:
- ROI and total cost of ownership analysis
- Risk management procedures
- Change management implications
- SAP benefits
- Strategic IT portfolio development
- Transformational strategies
- Project team value selling coaching
- Compellingly written SAP industry value proposition white papers
- Regular benchmarks of SAP customers for best practices and value achieved
- Thorough industry and account research and analysis
- Exposure to SAP top management |

- Strong academic, top graduate school background: MBA, master degree in chemical engineering or strategy and international management, Ph.D., or similar degree required
- Demonstrated executive-level facilitation skills
- Executive presentation and communication skills
- Team building and management skills
- Ability to manage complex accounts, in fast response environments
- Good understanding of role of IT in business
- Customer focused
- At least 5 years industry expertise within a high-tech or consulting environment (ideally Big 5 or premier strategy firm)
- Record of building strong customer relationships
- Workshop and consulting background
- Solid business case creation, analysis, and research experience |
