We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Product Manager to lead our growing French DVD business. With proven French and English-language writing and speaking skills, the successful candidate will be the commercial owner for our French product line with responsibility for driving unit, revenue, and margin growth through effective management and implementation of projects/promotions, maximising selection, enhancing merchandising, customer, and site experience to enable the company to meet its financial goals. He/she will have proven analytical capability and project management skills and will be customer focused, extremely detail-oriented, and able to effectively prioritise and multi-task.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for retail, a high level of flexibility, commitment, and a sense of humour.
Tasks/Responsibilities Serve as the business owner for our DVD product line, inclusive of forecasting, monitoring, understanding and reporting on the product line, and driving projects and promotions to achieve our business objectives Develop and execute project plans for the launch of new product development initiatives Create business plans for new opportunities which incorporate merchandising and pricing strategies Coordinate cross-functional teams, and communicate with internal and external parties, while meeting tight deadlines Develop business plans to maximise supplier/partner relationships Conduct financial analysis of promotions and opportunities to set and meet revenue and profit targets Manage third party relationships - manage supplier/partner contracts, manage day-to-day relationships Monitor performance and competitor / market developments |

A strong background in product management, financial analysis and/or marketing is required, preferably within a consumer goods / retail company Proven analytical skills and highly numerate (includes ability to use tools such as Excel and Access) Good attention to detail Demonstrated ability to manage projects - work prioritisation, planning and task delegation Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills High level of computer literacy and technical abilities Commercial negotiating experience Broad commercial awareness developed in a fast-moving environment Retail background is an advantage Fluency in French and English and demonstrated strong French and English-language writing and speaking skills You must be qualified to Degree level or equivalent, preferably in a business-related subject.
