For our corporate department based in Saint Germain en Laye (France) we are looking for a Project Accountant Corporate.
Your mission will be to:
· Support the Tartan Team regarding local regulation implementation
· Support the implementation of the Payroll Control Policy
· General accounting support
Specific accountabilities:
The position will play, with the support of the Corporate Team (Finance, Tax, Legal) an active adviser and controller role towards the Tartan Team in the following matters :
Local regulation advisory and implementation :
Statutory accounting (French GAAP)
Tax
Other local legal requirement
Combination of Group Standards and Policies with local requirement
Adjustment accounting schemes to go from US GAAP to French GAAP
Mapping
Testing / Reconciliation JDE/SAP
Provide training
The jobholder will play, with the support of HR an active adviser and controller role for the implementation in the following matters :
Control of Payroll interface ;
Execution of monthly payroll accounts reconciliation ;
Liaison between BU controllers, BU HR managers and Central HR Shared Services
Support of Corporate Dept in terms of day to day accounting reconciliation and consolidation.
Supervision of Record Information Management site coordinators
Warning ! : No holiday possible between 1st May 2010 and 30 Sept 2010 due to SAP implementation. |

Charted Accountant or equivalent / Accounting with around 10-years experience in Group accounting or in External Audit Department
Extended knowledge in Accounting GAAP (French, US, IFRS)
Good understanding of main aspects of Tax regulation
Good understanding of Payroll entries process and connected Balance-sheet reconciliation
Good computer skills,
Knowledge in consolidation process
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Fluent in English is Required, French language skills is High Want
Ability to proactively identify and resolve problems
Ability to adapt positively to a changing environment
Knowledge in Magnitude /Cartesis and SAP would be ideal
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement of work processes
High learning capacity
Highly motivated with collaborative working style, at the same time with ability to work independently
Result oriented.
