Specialist Sales develops complex solutions for large (€5 million+) pan European and global bids. The team ensures that the customer’s commercial, service, contractual and technical requirements are satisfied and Professional Services revenue from each sale are maximised. Our security solutions are developed from BT’s network & remote security products, business continuity services and security consultancy practice. These include:
• BT’s managed network security proposition • BT Multi Service Security Platform ( MSSP)– Managed Firewall , Anti Spam • BT Secure remote access - Managed Remote Authentication . Radius ,RSA/ACE, Directory Services • Cisco Security CPE based solutions • BT Secure VPN - IP Sec & SSL • BT SAN and Storage Solutions • IDS & BT Counterpane services • BT Identity Management • BT Consulting – BT’s Professional Services Security Practice
The Sales Specialists also run consultative sales campaigns for their proposition area within BT EMEA’s international focus accounts . The successful candidate will therefore work closely with BT Service Lines, Bid Management, Systems Engineering and the BT Security practice to champion customer requirements for Security Solutions.
BT’s approach is to focus on key industry sectors The successful candidate will therefore demonstrate a clear understanding of the business and compliance impact of security and business continuity in at least one of our key industry sectors; Finance, Pharachem, Logistics, Travel and Leisure.
The successful candidate will be expected to build and maintain relationships with, vendors and consultants influencing our customers . They will be seen as a thought leader in ICT security both within BT and externally . They will be able to support speaker engagements and customer workshops.
The role is ‘Sales Quota Bearing’. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that there is sufficient pipeline to achieve the annual security sales order target. |

• Minimum four years as principal consultant or pre-sales consultant at an integrator or consultancy specialising in network security . • Strong commercial acumen and ability to articulate latest security risks, regulatory and business continuity standards. • Demonstrable experience working with Finance, Pharachem, Logistics, Travel and Leisure clients. • Demonstrable knowledge of IT security operations including ISO / IEC 17799 • Strong sales focus & demonstrable experience of leading and negotiating security sales projects • Fluent spoken and written English • Excellent presentation skills including the ability to prepare presentations in MS PowerPoint • Financially' literate’. Able to prepare customer and sales business cases. Must be able to demonstrate that they can conduct ROI and TCO analysis for ICT projects. Able to use MS Excel Financial analysis tools • Flexibility and adaptability of role – Significant international travel across Europe will be required. • Valid passport and driving licence
Desirable experience includes: • Fluency in at least one language other than English (German preferred) • Valid CISSP certification • Cisco Certified Security Professional Accreditation • Nokia or Checkpoint technical sales accreditations • Demonstrable experience of pan European projects in a virtual/matrix team • Existing relationships with key vendor, Cisco , Nokia, RSA, Checkpoint |
